A Legacy of Leadership: Celebrating Jan Thayer and 25 years of NCAL

As NCAL celebrates its 25th anniversary, this special luncheon session honors the extraordinary legacy of Jan Thayer, a visionary leader and widely recognized pioneer of assisted living. Through an engaging interview-style panel discussion, colleagues, friends, and industry leaders who worked closely with Jan will share personal stories, insights, and reflections on her influence. 

Panelists will explore the origins of the assisted living movement, the challenges and innovations that shaped its early years, and how Jan’s leadership and dedication continue to guide the profession today. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the past, a renewed appreciation for the present, and inspiration for the future of assisted living.
